Johannesburg
is the largest city in South Africa where a quarter of the entire South African
population resides. Mbuti's Tavern Tours are based in Midrand, which is midway
between Pretoria and we offer professional and entertaining tours to all the
Gauteng Township Areas. Our tours are flexible and can be structured to accommodate the various
interests of our guests. Do a purely historical tour and get to know the
history of the selected area or experience a social tour, which makes the rounds
of some Taverns and Shebeens, or do a combination of the two - see the sights
and experience the fun all in one. The great thing is - there are so many Taverns
and Shebeens that you can do the same tour over and over and see new places
all the time.
Social Tours
Historical Tours
A combination of historical & social tours
Note: Our tours are flexible to accommodate the various interests of our guests.
Groups:
We cater for groups and individuals
Groups from 6 to 22 persons can be accommodated
Social Tours
Our trips visit different
venues - from home Shebeens, where people invite you into their own homes to
buy a drink while socializing with them, to more sophisticated licensed taverns.
The taverns, although more sophisticated, have not lost their traditional flavor
and friendliness. Our guests are also introduced to the "protocol"
of township social life.
These tours are GUARANTEED FUN!
